1. Agroindustry Residues as a Source for Cellulose Nanofibers Production
Our study was motivated by the large amount of crop residues produced in Brazil, which represent underutilized waste biomass and a serious threat to the environment because of the landfilling. For example, even though the corn crop is not popular in Brazil, it is produced in the area of around 18-20 million hectares with an average production of 5-6 t ha-1.

2. GC-MS-Based Metabolomic Profiles Combined with Chemometric Tools and Cytotoxic Activities of Non-Polar Leaf Extracts of Spondias mombin L. and Spondias tuberosa Arr. Cam.
Agroindustrial residues, such as leaves of fruit plants, can be sources of bioactive molecules, thus adding value to co-products that are rarely explored in agroindustry. In this context, this study aimed to look into the phytochemical profiles in detail and to explore the antitumor potential of S. tuberosa and S. mombin leaves. We observed that, S. tuberosa

3. Consumption and Characterization of Forestry Biomass Used in Tobacco Cure Process
ABSTRACT The tobacco production requires annually a large volume of firewood used in the cure process of tobacco leaves, representing up to 10% of its production cost. An alternative is the use of agroindustry residues, such as sawdust or pellets. The objective of this study was to analyze the consumption and to characterize forestry biomass used in the toba

4. A Study of Chemical Composition and Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Solid Organic Waste from Agrosilvopastoral Systems
Agrosilvopastoral waste, regarding agriculture and agro-industry sectors, is pointed as a promising sustainable raw material for biofuels production, specially concerning exploitation of lignocellulosic organic residues for fermentable sugars and cellulosic ethanol output, being therefore necessary to investigate the potential of these substrates concerning

5. RESÍDUOS DE AGROINDÚSTRIAS FAMILIARES: IMPACTOS NA QUALIDADE DA ÁGUA E TRATAMENTO COM TÉCNICAS SIMPLIFICADAS / WASTE OF AGRO-INDUSTRY FAMILY: IMPACT ON WATER QUALITY AND TREATMENT WITH TECHNIQUES SIMPLIFIED
Human activities have altered the environmental quality especially with regard to water sources. The agro-industry activity in small scale may represent a potential pollutant different from those of other agricultural activities, and, therefore, there is the need to search alternatives to minimize its impacts. This work aims to: (a) assess the quality and qu

6. Aproveitamento do caroço do açaí como substrato para a produção de enzimas por fermentação em estado sólido
The açaí agroindustry is the most important productive chains in northern Brazil. The residues in the marketing of açaí consists mainly of its pits, which are discarded in landfills and waterways without any treatment. A possible application to açaí pits is its use as substrate for solid state fermentation (SSF) for the production of lignocellulolytic

7. Produção e avaliação de briquetes de resíduos lignocelulósicos / Production and evaluation of lignocellulosic residue briquettes

8. Resíduos da agroindústria como fonte de fibras para elaboração de pães integrais / Residues from agroindustry as fiber source for use in the preparation of whole grain breads
Dess

10. GaseificaÃÃo de materiais lignocelulÃsicos para geraÃÃo de energia elÃtrica / Gasification of lignocellulosic materials for generation of electric energy
The gasification of solid fuel as biomass can be defined as the transformation of it into a combustible gas. This gas is made up of a mixture of carbon monoxide, hiydrogen, metane, small amounts of other light hydrocarbonetes, carbonm dioxide and water vapor, in addition to nitrogen, which is presetn in air. The objective of this work was to built a contercu

11. Quality of yellow passion fruit silage in the pure forms and in mixture with additives. / Qualidade da silagem do resÃduo do fruto de maracujà amarelo nas formas pura e em mistura com aditivos
Brazil possesses a huge amount of residues and by-products of agriculture and of agroindustry with potential of use in ruminant feeding. A few limitations may cause some of these additives to have a more restricted utilization, among them the low percentage of DM, which impairs ensiling process, demanding the adoption of procedures which modify that picture
