1. Additive Manufacturing towards the Fabrication of Greener Electrochemical Sensors for Antioxidants
Additive manufacturing is an emerging tool that has contributed to the sustainable fabrication of devices in several areas based on the concept of “zero waste”. Considering extrusion-based manufacturing (or 3D printing), polylactic acid (PLA) has been highlighted due to its biodegradability, obtention from renewable sources, and compatibility for 3D prin

2. Molecularly Imprinted Polypyrrole on Glassy Carbon Electrode Modified with Reduced Graphene Oxide and Gold Nanoparticles for Isoamyl Alcohol Analysis in Fusel Oil
A molecularly imprinted electrochemical sensor for determination of isoamyl alcohol was successfully constructed by modifying the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and reduced graphene oxide (RGO). The modification of the GCE increased the electron transfer rate and the electrode surface area, which, consequently, made more room a

4. Synthesis, Characterization, Spectroelectrochemical, Photophysical and HSA-Binding Properties of Novel and Versatile meso-Tetra(4-pyridylvinylphenyl)porphyrins Coordinated to Ruthenium(II)-Polypyridyl Derivatives
The free-base meso-tetra(4-pyridylvinylphenyl)porphyrin (1a) and its zinc(II) complex were synthesized and then functionalized with [Ru(bpy)2Cl]+ units (2a and 2b) via conventional methods and evaluated in terms of photophysical, electrochemical and biological aspects. All porphyrins present moderate singlet oxygen production and fluorescence quantum yield,

6. Evaluation of a Graphite-Polyurethane Composite Electrode Modified with Copper Nanoparticles as an Amperometric Flow Detector in a Wall-Jet System for the Determination of Cysteine
A graphite-polyurethane composite electrode (GPUE) was modified by electrodeposition of copper nanoparticles (CuNP) followed by electrochemical treatment in NaOH (GPUE-CuNP), in order to prepare an amperometric sensor for the determination of cysteine (Cys). Cyclic votammograms of Cys solutions at GPUE-CuNP allowed the description of a sequence of electroche

7. Biomimetic Sensor for Detection of Hydrochlorothiazide Employing Amperometric Detection and Chemometrics for Application in Doping in Sports
This work describes a simple and cost-effective method for quantitative determination of hydrochlorothiazide using biomimetic sensor based on a carbon paste modified with hemin (biomimetic catalyst of the P450 enzyme). The sensor was evaluated using cyclic voltammetry and amperometry for its electrochemical characterization and quantification, respectively.

10. Selective Determination of Unsymmetrical Dimethylhydrazine on a Prussian Blue Modified Carbon Paste Electrode
The electrocatalytic oxidation of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine (UDMH) has been studied on a Prussian Blue modified carbon paste electrode (PBMCPE) by cyclic voltammetry technique. The results show that Prussian Blue acts as a suitable modifier for electron transfer in the oxidation of UDMH. A linear range of 3 × 10-5 to 1.15 × 10-3 mol L-1, with a limit
