A constituição do sujeito politico, epistemologico e amoroso na alfabetização de jovens e adultos

RESUMO

This study focuses on the tread marks of the development and constitution of a political subject (an empowered being), an epistemological subject (a being of knowledge), and a loving subject (a being who embraces others, and is welcomed/ embraced by others), within a literacy project for young and older people. Such a project was initiated by neighborhood residents and their popular organization in the today s satellite city of Paranoá, together with the Federal University of Brasilia (the Federal Capital of Brazil), Through a "dialogical" relationship between this researcher (himself a participant in the literacy process) and both groups of residents, that of the instructors and that of the learners, this work performs a historical retrospective of the Paranoá s origin and development. It all began with the land occupation by migrant workers who, forced by their precarious economic conditions, left their homeland or former residence area to go to "the capital of hope," Brasilia, in search for better life conditions. Upon occupying the land, the migrants had to develop an intensive struggle to meet their daily needs and long term survival, while facing the permanent opposition from the State. The State made use of its repressive-coercive and persuasive mechanisms in the intent to convince the migrants to abandon the location or to accept being removed. (...continue)
