RESUMO

This work is a boarding on the education, the professional formation and the politician strategical thought of the Navy of Brazil to the long one of the last tbree decades. Here we focus the basic characteristics of the military from classic sociological literature and of the boardings referring contemporaries to the brazilian military, detaching the naval corporation. Afier that we present the education and the development of the career of the officers of the Navy in its basic formation and of general staff. Finally, we deal with the main subjects of brazilian naval strategy in the scope national, international politician and its relation with the constitutional mission of the brazilian naval power
