RESUMO

In the order to keep themselves at a prominence position, and to give an answer to the needs and continuous changes on markets and clients, an increasing number of companies understand how much it is important “Knowing what they know” and being able to know how to make good use of their actives of knowledge. The denomination given to their active is not the most important point, it can be the intellectual capital, intellectual property, etc. the must important is knowing how to apply it on products. The knowledge Management, which is no longer a fashion, starts being one of the main ways to surviving and prominence of an enterprise. In spite of being concrete, its definition and implantation still. Constitutes a great dilemma to the companies and to the studious of the subject. This work is based on Karl Wiig’s (1999b) proposal to the implantation of the Knowledge Management. This work analyzes the application of this proposal in the Coordination of the Area of Computer science at Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Urutaí– CEFET Urutaí.
