RESUMO

This dissertation is about: The habitational politic of Diademas city and the social assistants intervention. It has the objective of understanding the city as a space of production and reproduction of social relations and the Social assistants intervention in the habitational politics of this city. The reference is the historical process, the creation Diademas city and the habitational politics developed between 1994 and 2004. In this way, we contextualize this politic in the structural questions of capitalistic society, on its neo-liberal and global stage. So the Brazilian cities have, in their territories, a great amount of economical, social, political and cultural inequalities; on the other side, the concentration of wealth, infrastructure and superior equipments in the high-class neighbors are huge. For the low class people only remains a distant area, without investment. Therefore, in this context of enormous inequalities that social assistants develop their intervention practice for social politics, with the population, searching for their rights. That is what shows the researches, utilizing documents and interviews
