RESUMO

The purpose of this work is to discuss and analyze the characteristics of the labor force in the contemporary scene in a social situation marked by the restructuring of productive activities, which require changes both in the types of knowledge than in the type of conduct to face this new situation. With an specific analysis of regional peculiarities of the Technology Cluster of Information and Communication from Pernambuco â Porto Digital -, we want to deepen the understanding about the formation of the "new" employee, to know how he administers the career and working conditions. From the theoretical studies that suggest the emergence of a worker s new profile at the turn of the twenty-first century, and the discourse of entrepreneur advertising almost in a apologetic way since the 80s, take to the problems that led us to develop this research. If there is made necessary a new employee, how this happens in practice? Can we really call it a worker entrepreneur? How do the local factors affect that? Does the entrepreneur worker would be the arise of a new quality of life for the professionals, or would simply be to attend the needs of employers? The results show a variety of factors that affect the employment relations in firms included in a peripheral context, suggesting that the great homogeneity of the Taylor s period here gave rise to multiple forms of organization and use of the workforce. Then, the productive restructuring can be thought as a conflicting process, where the contradiction lives in new forms of exploitation and composition of the relations force
