A Toccata e a Sonata de Camargo Guarnieri : uma abordagem tecnica para a performance

RESUMO

This research encompasses technical and interpretative elements geared towards the performance of the Toccata and Sonata of the Brazilian composer Mozart Camargo Guarnieri (1907 - 1993). These works have been studied in great detail in order to lend support to the construction of musical performance. Therefore, as part of this study, technical principies are catalogued and described which are considered as the pattern of movements and articulations aiming to guide the reader in the technical approach used. Afterwards, a study of the piano procedures employed in the performance of the selected works is carried out, in which ali elements and technical principies are examined in detail. The study also includes the analysis of the elements and musical material from the works, identifying their structural features and positions the composer in his biographical and technical aspects pertaining to the written form of the works studied
