RESUMO

The methodologies used in analysis and resolution of problems vary widely according to the considered situations. Due to the fact they are generic, the implementation of the existent approaches is difficult when is necessary adapt it to a specific context, for example, in software organizations. Besides, when the problems are complex, this process becomes more critical. So, the use of multiple criteria approaches to support decision-making, specially, the causal analysis process is extremely useful. In face of this context, this paper proposes an approach based on multiple criteria to support the analysis and resolution of causes of problems, in software organizations. The purpose is to understand the relations between the causes and the results, to find out which causes are more relevant and, consequently, improve the results.
