Análise de técnicas para redução do consumo de energia em sistemas de refrigeração para supermercados

RESUMO
This work proposes a new concept for commercial refrigeration systems that attends all off-design specifications and, at same time, provides a better performance, reducing energy consumption. In order to reach that goal, this work studied two well-known technical solutions: the refrigerant liquid pumping and an evaporative cooling system installed at the air condenser. The combination of those solutions configures a novel system, allowing, for typical Brazilian climate conditions, that the refrigeration machine runs at low condensing pressures, increasing the overall system performance. This theoretical study, carried out using real data obtained from acquisition system installed for a supermarket store located in Curitiba, has shown an energy consumption reduction potential of 16,9% and a pay-back period shorter than 2 years, revealing that the combination of the proposed techniques can be put into practice. The focus of this work on commercial refrigeration is justified once supermarkets is one of the most important sector of Brazilian economy, with a lack of research works in this country.
