RESUMO
Neurospora crassa ascospores normally do not contain aryl sulfatase even when formed under conditions of sulfur limitation. However, when one of the parental strains is the nonrepressible mutant sconc, the resulting (mixed) ascospores contain significant levels of aryl sulfatase even when formed under conditions of sulfur abundance.
