Aspectos regulatorios e questionamentos para o futuro sobre dentifricios semi-solidos no Brasil

RESUMO

The objective of this study was to update and summarize information about Brazilian regulatory aspects and stimulate some questions about semi-solid dentifrice for future research. The current and old regulations from Brazil and other countries about dentifrice semi-solid with maximum of 1,500 ppm of fluoride and under the classification of toiletries by the current Brazilian sanitary regulations were compared. Also 34 (thirty four) labeling of dentifrice samples available on the Brazilian market were evaluated. And finally, questions from a group of pharmacy students were considered for this study. The result showed the Brazilian regulations are harmonized with the international one, and most of the semi-solid dentifrice labeling available on the Brazilian market are in accordance with the legal request. In Brazil, access to information about oral health are rare, also public health program oral health are rare in all the country
