This study is aiming at to evaluate economic feasibility of 0.1 ton/day piracui production (fish protein concentrate) of indigenous origin, regionally known as fish flour (fish=PIRA and flour=CUI) of outstanding taste and great durability, prepared by native as food savings in order to compensate the lack of fish at certain seasons. It is industrialized from two Amazonian species: acari-bodó (Liposarcus pardalis) and aruanã (Osteoglossum bicirrhosum). The Fixed Investment in the project was U.S.$ 155,956.33, total Cost of Production U.S.$ 190,449.00 per year and total Revenue U.S.$ 288,000.00/year at 8 working hours per day during 240 days per year, being used 140 days for acari-bodó processing and 100 days for aruanã processing. Its return (IRR) of 34.31% allowed investment recovering in 2.48 years. Its equilibrium point is at the production of 8.11 tons/year, ensuring the company operation using only 33.80% of its productive capacity.
