Avaliação energetica e exergetica de uma instalação experimental de refrigeração por absorção (agua-amonia) para produção de gelo a partir de vapor de processo

RESUMO

In this work it was done an energetic and axergetic evaluation of an absorption refrigeration system for ice production installed at the Campinas State University (UNICAMP), Brazil. The experimental equipement was built by the entreprise MADEF S.A. (RS, Brazil) and it works with the refrigerant pairammonia-water. Its refrigeration capacity is 23,2 kW at - 10 degrees C of evaporation temperature. The input of heat is done by saturated vapor at 0,2 MPa (130 degrees C) equivalent to 46,5 kW. To make possible the tennodynamic evaluation alI requirements to equipement installations were done including an insulated room for ice stockage. During the. tests temperature and pressure datas were collected by a computer acquisition system. Values of solution and refrigerantconcentrationsweremeasuredby empiricalmethods. The application of an energetic and exergetic evaluation made it possible to calculate the efficiencies and evaluate the irreversibilities in each equipement of the system. The results showed a COP of 0,36 and an exergetic efficiency of 0,10. The greater irreversibilities were found in the generator (28,8%), solution heat exchanger (22,5%) and in the absorber (12,2%). The system was able to produce 4 tons of ice/24 hours. The diagrams of the energetic and exergetic flows are presented. From the results we can confirm the technical viability of the use of absorption refrigeration technology for ice-making. From the adquired experience during the installation and operation of the system, has been done and presented as an annex to this work, a manual on the operation procedure of the absorption refrigeration system
