RESUMO

This paper has the objective of analyze the popular participation in the process of public management of education. The object of this research was four municipal schools (basic leveI) located in Ouro Preto municipality, Brazil, that was having an experience in participative management. The goal was identify the articulation and participation forms of the community in the schools, and the forms of political leamed that are constructed along the implementation of the participative experience. There was investigate the perception and the behavior from this group that have the mission to respond the task to manage the public decisions in the educational area.
