RESUMO

The effect of magnetic saturation is an important aspect to be taken into account when studying the behaviour of electrical machines. In the mathematical model developed throughout this work, the representation of that effect was based on the non-linearity of the magnetization curve, along with the physical parameters and the differential equations of the machine. That method, based on a process of numeric integration, was used to solve the proposed model in so doing, this work shows a mathematical model, which takes into account the effect of magnetic saturation for a transformer and for a tri-phasic induction machine. The model was validated through computer simulations and comparisons with experimental results
