RESUMO
The main aim of this research is to know the sources of information about medicinal plants and how the dissemination of information happen in the open-air markets - nspaces of interactive and diversified knowledge, of Salvador/Ba. Among the other objectives, it is the identification of informal, formal and electronic sources in order to verify the circulation of information. This work is justified because of the contribution to the studies of strategies of dissemination and preservation of significative cultural heritage. The methodology had character exploratory and also descriptive, employing research techniques: bibliographic survey, interviews semistructured with application of questionnaires and formularies. As a result, it is perceived that there is a real necessity of registering the used information to the cure of diseases and spiritual protection among several social segments.
