RESUMO
The effects of intra-articular injection of triamcinolone hexacetonide on the rate of clearance of radioactive xenon (133Xe) was studied in 11 patients with rheumatoid arthritis. No effect of the corticosteroid injection was observed, which suggests that the drug has no immediate effect on synovial blood vessels.
