Estudos taxonomicos de Mandevilla lindley subgenero Mandevilla (Apocynaccae) no Brasil

RESUMO

This work deals with taxonomic studies of Mandevilla Lindley (Apocynaceae), subgenum Mandevilla for, Brazil. It was based essentially in the morphological analysis of especies, using exsiccate from national and foreing herbaria and fiel observations.Dichotomic keys for all taxa, species descriptions synonymia, illustrations, distribution maps, list fo examined material and observations about ecological aspect and geographic distribution are presented. Shape, color, size and proportion between parts of the corolla (tube, throat and lobes) are essential to the delimitation of spcies. Forty species were recognized, eight of which were new species (M. dardanoi M. F. Sales, M. fistulosa M. F. sales, M. guanabarica Casaret ex M. F. Sales, M. harleyi M. F. Sales, M. hatschbachii M. F. Sales, M. grazielae M. F. Sales, M. rubra Mgf. Ex M. F. Sales and M. semirii M. F. Sales), two were reestablished (M. alexicaca (Mart. ex Stadelm.)M. F. Sales, M. microphylla (Stadelm.) M. F. Sales) and one was taken from the variety category to the species level (M. bahiensis (Woodson) M. F. Sales). Two other species were considered as having doubtful occurrences. Name nomenclatural (M. densiflora (Pohl ex Stadem) M. F. Sales), typification (M. pentlandiana (ª DC.) Woodson) and synonymization (M. barretoi Mgf., M. bradei Mgf.
