RESUMO
The central purpose of this study was the examination ot he vocal repertories of seven species os swallows (Notiocelidon cyanoleuca, Tachycineta leucorrhoa, Tachycineta albiventer, Progne chalybea, Phaeoprogne tapera, Stelgidopteryx ruficollis e Alopochelidon fucata) and the biological contexts in which they employed in the region of São Paulo. The swallows were considered sympatric and syntopic in that they shared the same habitats and the same aerial areas for feeding and breeding.The physical characteristics of each vocalization was analysed, classified and compared with those having a common biological function, thereby establishing the degree of similarity among them.. ...
