RESUMO

The purpose of the study was to investigate the possibility of offering elementary school teacher development with resource access to technology that may support their preparation to work with learners with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It was a descriptive exploratory and qualitative research. Participated in the study twelve teachers from a private school located in the metropolitan region of Curitiba, Paraná. The following data collection instruments were used: (a) initial knowledge questionnaire; (b) modules evaluation questionnaires; and (c) direct observations. The results indicated that the collaborative learning seemed to have allowed the faculty members to increase their knowledge about ADHD. In conclusion, collaborative learning seemed to be an innovative methodology, which permitted the group s knowledge building, allowing them to become more coherent, dynamic, and able to propitiate the ADHD students interaction and inclusion at the school. The study was theoretically based on authors as Behrens, Alcantara, Moran, Santos, among others.
