RESUMO

This work shows the analysis of 192 segregating families derived from the crossing of Ouro Negro and BRS Valente cultivars. The purpose is to develop black beans lines that are resistant to antracnose (Colletotrichum lindemuthianum) and rust (Uromyces appendiculatus), and also to have desirable agronomic traits such as high productivity of grain, erect architecture and weight of 100 grains above of the 23 grams. These families were advanced and evaluated in field for generations F2:4 and F2:5, from harvests of the 2006 winter and 2007 dry, using triple lattice design. The interaction families x harvests was significant with predominantly complex nature. The rust incidence in the winter harvest directly influenced the performance of the families, diminishing the grain productivity of those most susceptible to disease. Genetic variability for productivity of grains, architecture of plant, weight of grains and diseases resistance of antracnose and rust was detected, evidencing success in the election for these characters in the related population. Five families (32, 80, 126, 143 and 187) had congregated favorable phenotypes of Ouro Negro and BRS Valente, being, therefore, promising for extration of superior ancestries. Among the promising families, the number 143 was the more distinguished family on the basis of all evaluated tracts One hundred and ten selected plants of the best families had inside presented the associated molecular mark to the genes Ur-ON (resistance to the rust) and Co-10 (resistance to antracnose), gifts in Ouro Negro. Also, a comparative study of eleven non-parametric indexes was done with the objective to provide alternatives for choosing families with balanced profits for the majority of the analyzed characteristics. The selection index based on the genotype to ideotype distances was the most promising one. It provided satisfactory and balanced profits, considering the 11 studied characters of the 20 selected families.
