Gerenciamento de resÃduos industriais em Pernambuco: viabilidade tÃcnica e ambiental

RESUMO

This paper focuses the subject: Industrial Waste Management - Technical and Environmental Feasibility, starting from a critical analysis of the practical applicability, of all the related environmental legislation, mainly at federal and state level, regarding: selective collection, selection and final destination of the industrial waste in the state of Pernambuco. Thus, we considered and analyzed some reports of the environmental concerns evolution of the industrial activity at global and regional level, with attention specifically focused on the field of the industrial solid residues. The scenery is illustrated through actual data, including commercial matters, based mainly in the experience gathered in the Factory Petroflex IndÃstria and ComÃrcio S.A, situated on the city of Cabo de Santo Agostinho and the company Reciclar. Both companies represent the first certification of ISO 14.001 in the state of Pernambuco, the seventeenth certification of the country and the first certification related to the management of industrial waste in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil. During this analysis, the work suggests, at every instance, in managerial way in the chapter related to the conclusions and recommendations, improvements requested in the pertinent legislations, starting from the presentation of tested management systems of industrial waste in a practical way, based in the demonstrative examples provided by the companies Petroflex Cabo and Reciclar, which are absolutely adequate to all the applicable environmental legislation, and are proved to be efficient, considering the operational, economical and environmental viewpoints
