RESUMO

: In our research we want to evaluate the unique modalities of team work in the organization of the employees in the process of production of trucks and busses having as the object of study two multinational companies with plants located in Brasil: Mercedes-Benz (MBB) and Scania, both in Sao Bernardo do Campo (SP). Our focus will be the organizational changes as the result of the implementation and development of team works at the level of shop floor in these two companies, Scania and Mercedes-Benz. The main objective of this research, therefore, is to explain what the reasons are that made these companies adopt this way of work organization and verify the effectiveness of these team works in order to interrogate if what I occurring in these teams really corresponds to the original model and objectives proposed. If the team work represents an advance in terms of work relations democratization, this must come from a democratic process of negotiation between the company and the trade unions.
