RESUMO

Our study intends to look the Pontifice Catholic University of Sã Paulo through your official communications and your connections with the Catholic Church, with the State and with the own university in the formation of this Catholic Institution, of your vanguard and of the roads thrashed on these 50 years of life. Our chronological marks expand in this period of the relationships between the University and the Society. The consultation to the files of the São Paulo Foundation; to the File of the State and the files of University of Education of USP structured the thesis body in your research sources. The direct research the sources, to the files of the University, to the occupations, to the originals showed us a wealth of details that gol lost in the organs translating officials of the life of the institution. Another subject that urged us and it became our object it was it of the individual and collective memory. To work with the representation of this history is our pretension, through those precious sources written by different agents of the history of this institution We gol a great documental map of the memory of PUCSP, our marks and the research to the material it delineated the historical path that goes narrated, questioned in the crossing of way data narrated the history of the creation of the University in the space that she occupies in the city of São Paulo and with whom dialogues, the Church of Brazil, in the World and, the alterations given in the National education; our path in this thesis
