RESUMO

The purpose of this is to analize the ISO 9000 impact over the qualification of the civil engeneering workers in Goiás. The choice of this subject happens because of my belief in the matter of the ISO 9000 Rule in the management and improvement of the organizations quallity and because of noticing that the adoption of the referred role in the civil engeneering brings expectations of better use over its productive resources, waste reduction, higher competitivity and productivity, human resources development by people steering and better workers quallification. To reach the proposed objectives a deep research has been made in ten companies in the civil engeneering business in Goiás, which 5 of them have already been certificated by the ISO 9000 Rule and five others haven t or are going through this certification. The result and analasys of the colected data shows some improvement actions implemented by ISO 9000 certificated companies. As a result of this research we ve noticed a culture showing that the workers are being recognized and their quallification are still in development quite incipiente with the companies efford more centered in the imidiate necessities. The main sources of knowlodge and information are still in the meetings and workshops offered by entidades and by the company itself, developed specially in the ISO 9000 certificated companies
