Jovens educadores no contexto de uma ação pública voltada para a juventude na periferia de Belo Horizonte

RESUMO

This research has the objective to analyze what we call oficineiros. These are the young people hired by projects and social programs to develop cultural, sporting and professional workshops in their communities, on the periphery of the Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Region. We searched to understand who this young people are, which objectives they give to their educational practices and how they connect to their life project. Having the Murder Control Project Fica Vivo as the empiric universe, a quantity research was made by a questionnaire applied on the young oficineiros that work in Belo Horizonte. Trying to get a better understood of this quantitative data we also made contacts and observations with the oficineiros and program technical workers. The first discovery was that even valuing the knowledge worked in their workshops, the oficineiros also give central importance to their socializing perspective on the educational actions developed by them. The analyze also allow us to realize that this educators, as a result of their knowledge about young participators, know where they live and have the ability to talk to them, so they assume the posture of social mediators between the publishes policies that hired them and the youth, target of this actions. Analyzing the acting context of this oficineiros, another discussion on this research are the precarious conditions that many public actions focused on the youth presents. This precariousness tends to limit the educational action of this youth and reflects on their life projects, and that is related to their possibilities of professionalization as educators.
