RESUMO
The purpose of this paper has been to calculate the magnetic rotational strength of the spin-forbidden 1A1 → 3A2 transition of the carbonyl group. For this purpose, simple molecular orbitals have been used and only one-center integrals have been considered. The calculated results have been compared with the experimental measurements.
