RESUMO

This work aimed to propose the simulation of maize and bean crop growth and yield, based on the climatic change scenarios in the state of Minas Gerais. The crop growth and development models CROPGRO Dry bean and CERES-MAIZE were applied to simulate complex physical- biological processes. Thus, the models were duly calibrated and tested in several regions of the state. For future projections, the different scenarios A2 and B2, established by SRES-IPCC for 2020, 2050 and 2080 were used. The results pointed out that for the most pessimistic scenarios (A2), the climatic changes may provide a reduction of up to 15% in maize crop yield. For bean crop yield in both scenarios, there is a projection of increased yield in several regions in the state of Minas Gerais.
