RESUMO

We prove in this thesis that finitely generated soluble group of automorphisms Aut(Tn) of the regular n-ary tree Tn, which contain the n-ary adding machine have restricted structure. We prove that every nilpotent subgroup of Aut(Tn) containing then n-ary adding machine is a torsion-free abelian group. We study in detail elements of abelian groups normalized by an n-ary adding machine. For the case where n is a prime number p we prove that every finitely generated soluble subgroup of the pro-Sylow p-subgroup of Aut(Tp), containing the p-adic adding machine is an extension of a torsion-free metabelian group by a finite p-group.
