RESUMO
A modified pacemaker lead that can be inserted by percutaneous puncture of the subclavian vein, as in the Seldinger technique, has been designed for permanent cardiac pacing. Its use may be advantageous when isolation of an adequate vein for electrode insertion is difficult or impossible.
