RESUMO

This research thematic sphere of action is the set city-space-image-power. Firstly, the intention is âto showâ the city as an important and complex (de)humanization experience (and the human condition which is implied in it); and secondly, to point out the circumstances of production involved in the entire inquiry process. The result of this double effort is to give an important critical contribution to city and anthropological literatures. The research takes as empiric reference the âgardensâ and âgardenersâ emergence in âRecifeâs contourâ interstices, on CEASA outskirts, where was identified an appropriation/recreation process of the space through and for the usages of work, and among them were recognized the âastutenessâ. âLife historyâ and âdirect observationâ were engaged as methodological resources to apprehend the movement observed, as well theirs âtransversenessâ and âtensionsâ, what made possible the appearance of useful materials to visualize the socio-dynamic stigmatas, and to develop âgeneral ideasâ as gerative principles of knowledge and comprehension, from among the âsituation of the palafitasâ appeared to be prominent. All this was put into service of the a miraculous work of problematization, contextualization, dialogue, vigilance, creativity, and, above all, sincerity, approximating the situation of the inquiring and the inquiry of the situation through a synchronicdiachronic system of reference: the previous time, the arrival, the process and the later on. Above all, itâs a bet on the beautiful pleonasm which states the possibility of General Anthropology engaged in âredoing the wholeâ
