O ser e o alÃm do ser nas narrativas de OsÃrio Alves de Castro

RESUMO

The present research aimed the study of the representation process of the interland people at the shores of Rio SÃo Francisco at OsÃrio Alves de Castroâs novels. So, we can find them looking for the affirmation of their humanity, having in mind elementary rights for survival, or the surpassing of subjectivities socially constructed. The narrators focus their attention on human dilemmas, by movements of overcoming the material troubles and symbolic conformations that reduce realization possibilities. In this way we are going to see some characters trying to affirm an identity, while others go beyond themselves, opening themselves to the other and diversity. We are going to show how these two movements interfere in the configuration of the studied novels, due to the implicit philosophy in the different moments analyzed
