BACKGROUND: Pulmonary Lymphoid Hyperplasia (PLH) / Lymphoid Interstitial Pneumonitis (LIP) complex is common in HIV infected children. It may reflect a particular response to HIV from a developing immune system, and is also related to exposure to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).
