RESUMO

This work studies the long term expansion system. The system has two suplier networks: the and the natural gas network. The coordinated expansion has been possible because both networks are coupled through the natural gas thermal plants. The simple-cycle and combined-cicle plants are included in the evaluation scenery from 2010 year, besides the hydroelectric projects. The expansion must to meet the local demands of electricity and natural gas and the commitment of natural gas exportation. The Bolivian Energy System is represented as an optimal expansion model when the objective function is to minimize the operation and investment costs of the projects. The generalized network algorithm an especialization of linear programming, is use as a tool for the solution of the energy model. The branch-and-bound technique helps to find the best alternatives for the expansion. The use of natural gas for output electricity in the next twenty years, in this expansion plan, cost and the dispossibility of big reserves, if it of Bolivian Energy electrical network will trend to rise because its low is considered the local consume
