Peles grafitadas: uma poética do deslocamento

RESUMO

The present dissertation, developed in the Master of Fine Arts Program, School of Fine Arts, of the Federal University of Bahia, in the discipline of Creative Processes, approaches aspects related to the appropriation of graffiti images, found on public walls in the city of Salvador, as well as the medium techniques and operations for the removal of such imagery, which is considered graffitied skin. Afterwards, they are selected and consequently t dislocated to the internal space of the gallery, re-signifying as visual documents, which go on commenting on and amplifying the content, tracking the day-to-day, and disseminating a polysemic web of meanings. The investigation of the graffiti imagery in public space occupies takes on a procedure of generating a poetic, based on conceptual aspects from the formative principles for the construction of the work of art, informed, primarily, by concepts of Gaston Bachelard, Henri Bérgson, Merleau-Ponty and Didi-Huberman.
