RESUMO
The main purposes of this dissertation are: to study the history of technological apparatus that involves the photography and its relation to the imaginary and the production of subjectivity; to reflect on the possibility of a photograph of conceptual character, questioning the characteristic assumptions of the traditional photography and the ways of representation in contemporary; to research - through the production of art works and reviews of works of other artists - the delimitation of an experience that includes the technical processes that it involves in a practical and conceptual maner,and how these layers of meaning relate within the context of contemporary art; and finally, to conduct an artistic research on photography involving cultural actions and their developments over time, in a duration, looking to examine how this reflects in the photographic materiality
