RESUMO

The objective of this research was to analyze the level of quality of life and satisfaction at work of the people who work in the hotel system in Fortaleza in order to evaluate their level of satisfaction with their to professional activities. The study was carried out using exploratory - descriptive methods and supported by an intersectional perspective. The Walton model (1973), composed of eight dimensions and thirty-four quality analysis criteria of life at work, was selected because of its relevance to hotel. Documental research techniques were need to collect the data and questionnaires, were applied to some people who work in the hotel system in Fortaleza. Distributions of frequency, mean and analysis of variation were used in order to analyze and present the results, and the work is supported by a theoretical framework, which is composed by the specific topics of quality at work and human resources.The results of the study establish that workers of the hotel system in Fortaleza are satisfied in relation to the present conditions of their work. Specifically, they are satisfied with the following dimensions: âconditions of lifeâ; âsocial integrationâ; âuse and development of their skillsâ; âsocial relevance of life at workâ; âconstitutionalismâ and "opportunity of personal development and securityâ. On the other hand, they are not satisfied in relation to the dimension of âjust and proper compensationâ
