Sintese e estudo de filmes finos de acetileno polimerizados por descarga luminescente

RESUMO
A glow discharge apparatus for the synthesis of thin polymer films has been developed and tested. By means of simultaneous sputtering, metals can be incorporated into the films. This system has been used to obtain polymerized acetylene-copper films. The structural proprieties of the films were studied by infrared, X-ray spectroscopy and electron microscopy. The pure polymer films were amorphous and essentially pinhole free. Measurements of the electrical conductivity s as a function of temperature T showed a linear behavior among ln and T-1. For copper-containing polymers ln s was found to be linear T-1/2 it was observed a strong dependence of s with the copper con tent in the film. The temperature dependence of the conductivity in the copper containing polymers was the same observed in thin films of ceramic materials co-deposites with metals (CERMETS)
