RESUMO
Three discrete bands specifically hybridizing to adenovirus 5 DNA were found in the rat liver DNA restricted BY Bam HI endonuclease and fractionated electrophoretically. The hybridization with different regions of the viral genome takes place. Similar bands are present in the DNA from different lines of adenovirus 5 transformed cells, but in these cases high molecular weight DNA fragments containing the integrated viral genomes can also be found.
