RESUMO

Maceration at liquid nitrogen temperatures, use of poly-vinylpyrrolidone, and careful pH control are essential to the isolation of ribosomes and polysomes from deciduous fruit tissue. Characteristics of the ribosomes and constituent RNA are described.
