RESUMO

Recent development in present communications systems has created challenges in design of RF circuits. Parameters as small size, reduced weight, low cost and easy fabrication are every day more demanded. Dual band filters using stepped impedance resonator (SIR) are good option. In this research a new type of planar microwave filter using coupled microstrip SIR resonators is proposed. Furthermore, an openloop resonator is coupled in order to improvement filter response. Measured results are compared with the computed responses.
