RESUMO

This work proposes DDEMAS, a technique for the construction of multi-agent frameworks based on patterns and ontologies. DDEMAS is a new approach for Domain Design in Multi-agent Domain Engineering. The technique consists of three phases, through which the architectural and detailed design of a family of multi-agent applications is specified in a growing order of detail: modelling of agents and interactions, global design and detailed design. The first phase looks for the definition of agents and interactions. On the second one, it is made the global design of the family of systems, with the agents organized according to coordination and cooperation mechanisms. In the last phase, each agent is analyzed individually in terms of behavior and knowledge. The work also proposes ONTODD, an ontology-based tool which encodes the knowledge of DDEMAS, thus allowing the application of the technique for the creation of multi-agent frameworks. The frameworks construction is made through the instanciation of the metaclasses corresponding to the concepts of modelling and products of modelling of ONTODD. DDEMAS and ONTODD have been evaluetad through the development of a case study where an ontology-based framework for building information access applications has been constructed.
