1. Determination of the most susceptible phenological stage of rice panicles to infection by species of Fusarium graminearum

2. Timing and growing conditions of nitrogen topdressing influence the grain yield and protein content of four wheat cultivars
ABSTRACT The application of an adequate rate and splitting of nitrogen is essential for wheat grain yield and protein content. The aim of this work was to adjust nitrogen management approaches regarding agronomic performance and protein content of wheat cultivars in various environments. Field experiments were conducted under no-tillage system on soybean mul

3. ÉPOCAS DE APLICAÇÃO DE REGULADOR DE CRESCIMENTO E DE SOMBREAMENTO ARTIFICIAL AFETANDO CULTIVARES DE TRIGO
The use of the growth regulator trinexapac-ethyl aims to reduce height of wheat plants avoiding lodging and losses caused by it. In addition, causes changes leaf architecture the plant have a better utilization of solar radiation. With the aim to evaluate the effects of application times of the growth regulator trinexapac-ethyl with or without artificial sha

4. AvaliaÃÃo do Impacto das MudanÃas ClimÃticas na Oferta HÃdrica da Bacia HidrogrÃfica do ReservatÃrio Ãros usando os Modelos de MudanÃas ClimÃticas do IPCC-AR4, levando em ConsideraÃÃo as Diversas Incertezas Associadas / Evaluation of the Impact of Climate Change on Water Supply Watershed Reservoir Models using Ãros Climate Change IPCC-AR4, taking into consideration the Various Uncertainties Associated
In the present work flow projections for the basin Ãros (CearÃ) were obtained using the precipitation of global models of the fourth report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-AR4) for the period 2010 to 2099 the A1B scenario. The flows were generated by the hydrologic model Soil Moisture Account Procedure (SMAP). To obtain these, the pr

5. Active sensor as a tool for nitrogen application in spring wheat / Sensor óptico ativo como ferramenta para aplicação de nitrogênio na cultura do trigo
Nitrogen fertilization in spring wheat in southern Brazil is based on yield potential, soil organic matter and previous crop. These variables are not precise and subjected to errors, resulting on N losses and yield potential reduction. For N fertilization, it is necessary to quantify plant N nutritional status to determine top dressing N rates to be applied.

6. Cultivar response to fungicide application in relation to rice blast control, productivity and sustainability.
Four field trials were conducted, from 1995 to 1997, with the objective of studying the response of four upland cultivars to foliar fungicide application in relation to panicle blast control, grain yield and sustainability. Differential disease control and yield response of cultivars to fungicide treatment were obtained. Losses in grain yield of cultivars IA

7. II. Heat stress in Triticum: kinetics of Cu and Zn accumulation
The interactions between high temperatures and Cu/Zn accumulation were investigated in bread and durum wheat. Plants were grown in a greenhouse, at two different temperatures regimes (control - 25/14ºC and heat stress - 31/20ºC), and the contents and uptake/translocation of Cu and Zn were evaluated during three developmental stages of plant growth (booting

8. III.Heat stress in Triticum: kinetics of Na, K and P accumulation
Genotypes of bread and durum wheat were submitted to heat stress after anthesis and the accumulation of Na, K and P, at booting, grain filling and maturity, were investigated. It was found that, after anthesis, the levels of Na in shoots were considerably higher in durum relatively to bread wheat, being this trend also observed in the total plant accumulatio

9. IV.Heat stress in Triticum: kinetics of Fe and Mn accumulation
The interactions between Fe/Mn accumulation and the photosynthetic light reactions were investigated in heat stressed bread and durum wheat genotypes (Triticum aestivum L. and Triticum turgidum subsp.durum). Four genotypes were chosen according to its genetic background diversity. Plants were grown in a greenhouse at two different day/night temperatures regi

10. INFLUÊNCIA DA APLICAÇÃO DE FERTILIZANTES E FUNGICIDA SOBRE O ENCHIMENTO DE GRÃOS E O DESEMPENHO AGRONÔMICO DO ARROZ IRRIGADO / EFFECT OF FERTILIZERS AND FUNGICIDE APPLICATION ON GRAINS FILLING AND ON RICE CULTURE PERFORMACE
Increasing green leaf duration during grain filling in rice, using management practices to enhance plant nutrition and health, can increase grain yield. To test this hypothesis, two experiments were conducted in 2005/06. The first experiment with the objectives of evaluating the effects of nitrogen (N) and fungicide application at booting stage on 1) the gre

11. Uso da energia emitida, para detectar necessidade de irrigação em trigo, em condições de cerrado / Use of energy emission for detecting the necessity of irrigation in wheat in field conditions
Through the utilization of plant parameters (radiometric canopy temperature - T_d, aerodynamic and canopy resistances) and meteorological data (air temperature - T_A , global net radiation - R_n, vapor pressure deficit in air - delta _e), which are components of the Index {CWSI), one tries to demonstrate the utility of this methodology to identify the plant

12. Effects of Temperature, Nitrogen Fertilization, and Plant Age on Nitrogen Fixation by Setaria italica Inoculated with Azospirillum brasilense (strain cd) 1
The association between the nitrogen-fixing bacterium Azospirillum brasilense (strain cd) and the grass Setaria italica was studied under different environmental and soil conditions. Highest acetylene reduction rates in intact plants were observed at the booting stage of Setaria (2350 nmol ethylene produced hour−1 plant−1) at 27 C. Higher temperatures, u
