1. Como manejar pacientes com indicação de uso de antiplaquetários que tiveram sangramento digestivo alto?
O uso de AAS em dose baixa (até 100 mg) associado ao uso contínuo de inibidor da bomba de prótons (IBP) é a estratégia preferencial para prevenção secundária de eventos cardiovasculares. AAS tamponado não é eficaz para redução de sangramentos. Em pacientes com infecção por Helicobacter Pylori, deve-se indicar também a erradicação.

2. Qual o protocolo para atendimento odontológico ao paciente com diabetes mellitus e doença periodontal?
No que se refere ao atendimento odontológico de paciente com diabetes mellitus (DM) e doença periodontal, os estudos têm demonstrado que o tratamento da periodontite por meio da terapia mecânica convencional (raspagem e alisamento radicular), além de promover a melhora na saúde periodontal é capaz de também promover melhorias na saúde sistêmica.
