1. Função velofaríngea em indivíduos com e sem sinais clínicos da síndrome velocardiofacial: análise videofluoroscópica / Velopharyngeal function in individuals with and without clinical signs of velocardiofacial syndrome: a videofluoroscopic analysis

2. Tamanho do véu e profundidade da nasofaringe em indivíduos com disfunção velofaríngea / Velar lenght and depth of the nasopharynx in individuals with velopharyngeal dysfunction
The objectives of the present study were: 1) to measure and to describe length and thickness of the velum and depth of nasopharynx for individuals with unilateral operated cleft lip and palate (UCLP) with velopharyngeal dysfunction (VPD); 2) to calculate and describe the depth of nasopharynx to velar length ratio (D/L); 3) to compare measures found for the i

4. Motor function of the opossum sphincter of Oddi.
We studied the opossum sphincter of Oddi (SO) because in this species the SO is approximately 3 cm in length and its extraduodenal location permits recording of motor activity with negligible interference from duodenal motor activity. The SO segment of 120 animals was evaluated by one or more of the following: (a) intraluminal manometry; (b) electromyography

5. Severe aortic stenosis in elderly patients.
Clinical and non-invasive findings were compared with catheterisation data in 91 elderly patients (mean 65 years, range 52-78) with suspected severe aortic stenosis requiring operation. Heart catheterisation showed that forty nine patients had a valve area of less than or equal to 0.6 cm2, 36 had a valve area of 0.7 - 1.0 cm2, and six an area of greater than
