1. A coexistência de quatro ciclos limite em campos vetoriais seccionalmente lineares em R3 / The coexistence of four limit cycles in piecewise linear vector fields on R3
In this work we study continuous, symmetric and piecewise linear vector fields on R3, we investigate the existence of limit cycles using the closing equations method. More specifically, we study a two parameters family of this vector fields and we show the coexistence of four limit cycles and too, its realization on Chuas circuit.

2. Numerical analysis of the turbulent coaxial jets / Análise numérica de jatos coaxiais turbulentos
The understanding of the jets behavior is of extreme importance in several practical applications in combustion and propulsion. Therefore, it becomes more and more important the detailed analysis of the parameters that affect the characteristics of this type of flow. This work presents a numerical study of the incompressible turbulent coaxial jets characteri

3. On the behavior of hyperbolic neutral points in two-dimensional ideal magnetohydrodynamics
We study ideal incompressible magnetohydrodynamics in two dimensions. We obtain an exponential estimate on the closing of the angle at hyperbolic saddle points of the magnetic stream function under the assumption that the velocity remains bounded. The analytic results are supported by numerical simulations. These results give evidence against a standard scen

4. Kinetic characterization of the voltage-gated currents possessed by Xenopus embryo spinal neurons.
1. Using the whole-cell patch clamp technique, the voltage-gated currents of neurons acutely isolated from the Xenopus embryo spinal cord were studied. 2. The spinal neurons possessed a very fast Na+ current, which activated with time constants that ranged from 0.1 to 0.25 ms. It was also subject to rapid inactivation with time constants ranging from 0.3 to
