1. ESTRATÉGIAS DE MARKETING EM COOPERATIVAS - o caso da CESMA / MARKETING STRATEGIES IN CO-OPERATIVE ASSOCIATIONS - The case of CESMA
Most part of non-profit organizations, like co-operative associations, are not making use of the management science for a better development of their strategies. From a case study, this dissertation presents an analysis of the marketing strategies used by "Cooperativa dos Estudantes de Santa Maria - CESMA". To manage the research, the Marketing Mix 4 Ps Mode

2. INFLUENCE OF THE RESPIRATORY FREQUENCY ON THE ARTERIAL GASES SANGUINEOUS IN POSTOPERATIVE THE IMMEDIATE ONE OF EXPLORING LAPAROTOMIA FOR ABDOMINAL TRAUMA / A INFLUÊNCIA DA FREQUÊNCIA RESPIRATÓRIA SOBRE OS GASES SANGUÍNEOS ARTERIAIS NO PÓS - OPERATÓRIO IMEDIATO DE LAPAROTOMIA EXPLORADORA POR TRAUMA ABDOMINAL
The incidence of post-operative pulmonary complications is large, in consequence of the manipulation of abdominal cavity with changes on pulmonary volumes and capacities, resulting in atelectasis and hypoxemy. Alteration of breath pattern in association with postoperative pain can interfere in gaseous exchanges with larger repercussions in the presence of ri

3. A INFLUÊNCIA DA FREQUÊNCIA RESPIRATÓRIA SOBRE OS GASES SANGUÍNEOS ARTERIAIS NO PÓS - OPERATÓRIO IMEDIATO DE LAPAROTOMIA EXPLORADORA POR TRAUMA ABDOMINAL / INFLUENCE OF THE RESPIRATORY FREQUENCY ON THE ARTERIAL GASES SANGUINEOUS IN POSTOPERATIVE THE IMMEDIATE ONE OF EXPLORING LAPAROTOMIA FOR ABDOMINAL TRAUMA

Cancer is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in Brazil and worldwide, and surgery is very often its primary treatment. Manganese-dependent superoxide dismutase (SOD 2) is one of the main intracellular antioxidant enzymes, participating directly in the protection of the cell against oxidative reactions, which are thought to be pivotal in car

5. Armazenamento dos materiais reciclaveis provenientes da coleta diferenciada
t: Nowadays, materials recycling is somewhat more than the right ecologica11y alternative for scrap destination. It is a need, specially for big cities. The municipality, however, needs organisational actions to rnanage all mechanisms of collection and delivery systems of recycling materials ftom cities to junk yards or to processing and transformation indus

7. Mn2+ and other transition metals at low concentration induce the right-to-left helical transformation of poly[d(G-C)].
The effects of the first-row transition metal ions on the right(B)- to left(Z)-handed helical transition of poly[d(G-C)] have been determined. The Z conformation is induced by MnCl2 at submillimolar concentrations. The forward reaction has a very large activation energy (440 kJ/mol) so that a facile conversion occurs only at temperatures above 45 degrees C.

8. Hydrocortisone choleresis in the dog
Hydrocortisone sodium succinate (Solu-Cortef; Upjohn Co., Kalamazoo, Mich.) has been found to induce choleresis in unanesthetized fasting dogs fitted with Thomas duodenal cannulae for direct quantitative collection of bile. In all experiments, bile flow increased (average, 68%) 15-20 min after beginning hydrocortisone by infusion in association with an equiv

9. Homophilic adhesion of E-cadherin occurs by a co-operative two-step interaction of N-terminal domains.
Cluster formation of E-cadherin on the cell surface is believed to be of major importance for cell-cell adhesion. To mimic this process the extracellular part of mouse E-cadherin (ECAD) was recombinantly fused to the assembly domain of rat cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP), resulting in the chimeric protein ECAD-COMP. The COMP domain formed a five-s

10. Co-operative interactions between NFI and the adenovirus DNA binding protein at the adenovirus origin of replication.
The DNA-protein and protein-protein interactions proposed for the stability of nucleoprotein complexes at the origin of replication in prokaryotes are also thought to impart regulatory precision in eukaryotic DNA replication. This type of specificity can be observed, for example, during adenovirus DNA replication where efficient initiation requires that nucl

11. Differential interaction of synthetic peptides from the carboxyl-terminal regulatory domain of tubulin with microtubule-associated proteins.
In previous studies we have demonstrated that a 4-kd tubulin fragment, including amino acid residues from Phe418 to Glu450 in alpha-subunit and Phe408-Ala445 of the beta-sequence, plays a major role in controlling tubulin interactions leading to microtubule assembly. The 4-kd carboxyl-terminal domain also constitutes an essential domain for the interaction o
