1. Phenolic compounds related to resistance of the coffee tree at coffee leaf miner (Leucoptera coffeella ) and at the rust (Hemileia vastatrix ) / Compostos fenólicos relacionados à resistência do cafeeiro ao bicho-mineiro (Leucoptera coffeella) e à ferrugem (Hemileia vastatrix)
The plants present different and complex mechanisms of defense, that work together, in responses to biotic and abiotic stresses, whose nature and intensity of response varies with age, the degree of adaptation and phenology. The main objective from the research is: (i) detect the chlorogenic acids in the leaves of Coffea arabica L., cultivars Obatã IAC 1669

2. Computational simulation of the population dynamics of coffee leaf-miner, Leucoptera coffeella (GuÃrin-MÃneville, 1842) (Lepidoptera: Lyonetiidae), employing the sexual version of the Penna model. / SimulaÃÃo Computacional da dinÃmica populacional do bicho-mineiro do cafeeiro Leucoptera coffeella (GuÃrin-MÃneville, 1842)(Lepidoptera: Lyonetiidae), utilizando a versÃo sexuada do Modelo Penna.
A number of computational simulations, employing the Penna model of biological aging in its sexual version, were worked out in an attempt to understand some aspects of the population dynamics of coffee leaf-miner, Leucoptera coffeella (GuÃrin-MÃneville, 1842) (Lepidoptera: Lyonetiidae). With this concern in mind, some changes were applied to the model in o

3. Monitoring of Leucoptera coffeella with sexual pheromone traps / Monitoramento de Leucoptera coffeella com armadilha de feromônio sexual
The use of pheromone traps was tested for monitoring of the coffee leaf miner, Leucoptera coffeella (Guérin-Méneville) (Lepidoptera: Lyonetiidae). Insect sampling was carried out in seven coffee plantations under different agronomic conditions in two regions - the Triângulo Mineiro and the Zona da Mata, both in the state of Minas Gerais. The sampling peri

4. Avaliação da resistencia genetica de Coffea SPPa Perileucoptera coffeella (Guerin-meneville, 1842) (Lepidoptera-lyonetudae)
A leaf disk method was developed to evaluate resistance of Coffea germplasm to coffee leaf miner (Perileucoptera coffeella) described as follows: leaf discs 3,14 cm diameter are kept on moist sponge inside plastic boxes closed with a glass lid. The boxes are maintained under artificial light at 22 +- 2ºC with photoperiod of 12 hours. Each box fits 144 leaf
