1. Contribuição para o estudo do processo de conformação de chapas utilizando um fluido na substituição das formas da matriz: hidroconformação / Contribuition to the study of process development for sheet metal forming using a fluid an a replacement for dies

The process of conformation has been used for decades, maybe centuries, and the end of the evolution and the usage of this process seems unpredictable; Defining the blanks, estimating effects such as localized wrinkles, possible fissure points and other related phenomena the conformation, have evolved a lot thanks to the modern computerized tools developed f

3. Location and properties of metal-binding sites on the human prion protein
Although a functional role in copper binding has been suggested for the prion protein, evidence for binding at affinities characteristic of authentic metal-binding proteins has been lacking. By presentation of copper(II) ions in the presence of the weak chelator glycine, we have now characterized two high-affinity binding sites for divalent transition metals

4. Crystal structure of bovine Cu,Zn superoxide dismutase at 3 A resolution: chain tracing and metal ligands.
An electron density map at 3 angstrom resolution has been calculated for Cu2+, Zn2+ superoxide dismutase from bovine erythrocytes, and the course of the main chain has been traced. The dominant structural feature is an 8-stranded barrel of antiparallel beta-pleated sheet. There is one very short helical section and two long loops of non-repetitive structure.

5. Scorpion toxins as natural scaffolds for protein engineering.
A compact, well-organized, and natural motif, stabilized by three disulfide bonds, is proposed as a basic scaffold for protein engineering. This motif contains 37 amino acids only and is formed by a short helix on one face and an antiparallel triple-stranded beta-sheet on the opposite face. It has been adopted by scorpions as a unique scaffold to express a w
